Responsibilities:
The Fiscal Assistant is responsible for various fiscal and clerk duties such as data entry, maintains fiscal records, typing, copying, filing, and other general office functions for the Family Enrichment sponsored programs.
Minimum
Qualifications:
AAS in Business or related field or three years experience working in a non-profit agency.
Must have good computer skills.
Knowledge of accounting helpful.
Job requires traveling within area served by the program.
Must have valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.

General Duties:
Follows all agency administrative and programmatic policies and procedures.
Assists in ensuring the agency meets all federal, state, local, rules, regulations and licensing requirements.
Follows all aspects of the agency personnel polices and procedures.
Immediately reports child abuse to supervisor or appropriate staff person.
Actively supports agency mission and philosophy.
Essential Duties:
Works with Fiscal Director and Human Resources Director to ensure accurate record keeping in accordance with Agency policy and funding source regulations.
Works within a team to ensure smooth operation of the Business Center.
Identifies, gathers, compiles, and documents fiscal information as requested by supervisor.
Responds to requests for fiscal information in the absence of co-workers.
Gathers purchase orders, invoices, or payroll information as requested.
Processes purchase orders; checks coding and budgets.
Places orders for processed Purchase Orders.
Researches prices, products and vendors as needed.
Maintains Agency office supplies and distribution.
Works with vendors on pricing/delivery issues.
Collects bids and information as required by federal and agency policy.
Reconciles bank statements by 10th of each month.
Assists in collection of receipts and invoices, matching to requisition.
Makes travel arrangements for staff, researching best prices for flights, hotels, etc.
Reads circulated information related to job responsibilities.
Attends relevant training and shares information.
Assists in carrying-out the Agency's accounting and procurement policies.
Becomes familiar with program budgets.
Assists in maintaining computer files for Agency programs, including but not limited to personnel, fiscal, payroll, and in-kind services.
Updates Program Year Element Codes.
Assists with month-end and year-end close.
Completes the Salary Survey.
Assists with General Journals.
Maintains information of in-kind services by month and obtains reports as requested.
Types financial information, internal and external reports, and other fiscal documents.
Assist the Fiscal Officer and the Accountant with special projects as needed.
Keeps supervisor well informed about daily activities.
Adheres to confidentiality requirements of the Fiscal office and Agency programs.
Covers the Reception Area for the Secretary and Reception/Building Security personnel when necessary.
Politely answers incoming phone calls when necessary, takes messages when necessary and routes them accordingly.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
