Operating Room Inventory Tech I / Overview Under the general direction of the OR Materials Management Supervisor, Nurse Manager, and in conjunction with OR Purchasing Agents, and department staff, is responsible for the inventorying, requisitioning, receiving, expensing, delivery of supplies, materials, and instruments in support of the Surgical Services program.
Maintains storage areas in accordance with regulatory agencies governing storage of sterile supplies.
Key Responsibilities and Expectations Education/Experience Minimum Required:
High school diploma or equivalent Preferred:
Previous knowledge and experience working with inventory and purchasing functions.
Previous knowledge and experience working in an OR environment under stressful situations.
Knowledge of operating room procedures and ability to work within a sterile to semi-sterile environment.

Not Applicable Work Environment Works within an office located in the operating room suite.
Supply storage areas heated in winter and air-conditioned in summer with aisle space for movability.
Personal protective equipment per operating room policy.

Maximum continuous time - 12 hours.

50% daily.

Reaching, standing, walking, bending, hearing, vision, lifting, pushing/pulling (boxes/carts) up to 50 pounds.

Utility cart, oak flatbed cart, metal tub, Metro metal storage system, Metro movable carts, SPD exchange cart, pen, pencil, clip board, box cutter.

50% daily.
