Minimum
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Program Administration, business management, or related fields.
(Associate degree considered with direct experience.
) Experience providing outreach and working with adults.
Job requires traveling within service area.
Occasional evenings and weekends.
Strong communication skills needed.
Computer skills essential.
Must have valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Experience with operating a child care center or family child care home.

Essential Duties:
Plans and provides intensive technical assistance, support and training for regulated child care programs in Broome, Chenango, and Tioga Counties to enhance the quality of business practices and care provided.
Understands the business grants and application processes available through OCFS.
Conducts outreach calls, webinars, and trainings to child care programs on available grants, including evening and weekend sessions to ensure greatest reach.
Assists child care programs with creating an operating budget, if none exists.
Understands best practices for child care businesses and provides assistance to child care businesses to follow best practices.
Provides technical assistance and trainings to support the business practices of child care programs.
Accesses the OCFS grant management system to review the status of grant applications and assists with issues.
Provides one-on-one assistance and onsite visits for programs who need individualized support.
Conducts business trainings for the quarterly training calendar throughout the service delivery area.
Evaluates child care program business practices using the PAS and BAS.
Completes ASPIRE registry and state training approval processes as a Verified Specialty Trainer.
Attends meetings called by OCFS and ECLC and relays information to the CCR&R team.
Attends monthly CCR&R staff meetings.
Remains up-to-date on OCFS regulations and policies.
Attends webinars, trainings, and meetings to keep abreast of changes in the childcare field.
Promotes CCR&R services to the public through visibilities and materials distribution.
Assists in the compilation of material for the Annual Report of Activities.
Contributes to CCR&R's provider newsletter and Family Enrichment Network's agency newsletter - News and Views.
Prepares reports, program summaries, success stories, and required narratives.
