53 per hour, depending on experience Clinical Dietitian / Overview The Clinical Dietitian screens patients for nutritional risk and responds to nutrition consults as ordered by providers and the health care team.
The Clinical Dietitian provides medical nutrition therapy for disease prevention and management to produce positive patient outcomes in the inpatient and outpatient setting for patients identified at nutrition risk and those referred by consult.
Key Responsibilities and Expectations Education/Experience Minimum Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition or related field plus successful completion of a supervised practice program for nutrition Must be eligible to sit for the registration examination for Dietitians Preferred:
Previous clinical experience in an acute care teaching facility License/Certification Minimum Required:
Eligibility for registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration Successful completion of the Registration Examination for Dietitians within 6 months of hire date Obtains NYS certification as a dietitian-nutritionist (CDN) within 1 (one) year of hire or after passing the Registration Examination for dietitians Preferred:
