This position serves as a clinical resource and consultant to Nurse Case Managers and other health care professionals providing identification, facilitation and resolution of utilization issues through phone contact and face to face rounds. Responsibilities also include addressing issues of medical necessity, compliance, level of care, length of stay, readmission review, resource management, etc. Participation required in process improvement discussions to improve clinical outcomes, compliance with regulatory requirements, and address reimbursement barriers. Physician Advisor will also advise, assist and educate physicians, advanced practice providers, nurse care managers, nurses and all others involved in the delivery of timely, appropriate and cost effective care.
Qualifications: Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Residency trained physician, Board Certified / Board Eligible; experience desired.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
